For windows folks, who never used a Mac, this is what it looks like installing apps outside the App Store...
It's an oddity at first, then you learn to appreciate it for the good captcha it is.
There are so many quirks in MacOS if you are a first time user

2. The finder can do a lot of Magic, for example, you can right click on a selection of images, and remove the background, perfect if you have hundreds of product photos that you need to isolate from a messy background.

3. Select a file (JPEG, PDF, movie, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) in Finder and press SPACE key.
Will magically preview it for you without opening a single app.

4. You can record your screen or take screenshots using a wide range of OS ready commands.
shift+command+4 = draw an area to capture
shift+command+4+space = captures a specific window
adding "ctrl" puts the screenshot in the paste bin.
5. You can use cmd+space to open spotlight, and essentially find anything and make a ton of quick things in there. Or you can install something like @raycastapp and go overboard.
Try it out using this link:

6. Window management is odd, because all apps usually are always open, clicking on the red circle top left does not actually kill the application, it just kinda hides it.
7. Splitting windows into different positions on the screen equals to you having to hover or long press the green circle top left of any window. Options are limited.
Tile left or right or go full screen, or send to external monitor.

8. Talking about external monitor, if you plug your iPad into your Mac, you can instantly use it as an external high-res monitor using continuity (built into MacOS).

9. I have to make a lot more of these threads to really dig deep into how strange Mac is compared to PC. For me these things are "normal" and I would not want to use it any other way. But it take some getting used to.
