According to Bloomberg analysts, the share price of BlackRock IBIT has risen 2.7% since the close of trading on Friday.

This Friday, the US SEC approved the listing of an options product on the Nasdaq for the BlackRock iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT). The trading platform will process the Bitcoin ETF options in a similar manner to other ETF options, following the same rules and trading procedures.

Bitwise Alpha's Chief Investment Officer Jeff Park published a lengthy post on social media praising this approval, stating that "this marks one of the most significant advancements the cryptocurrency market may achieve." He believes that some of Bitcoin's unique characteristics can be better expressed in the regulated options market.
