Vitalik: The evolution of ideology in the crypto space and its relationship with governance needs require more comprehensive philosophical thinking

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin recently wrote that although the crypto field originated from the cypherpunk movement that emphasized freedom and independence, with the emergence of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and DAO, the entire industry needs not only to circumvent external governance, but to build its own governance structure. The survival of these emerging structures depends on mathematical research, open source software, and other public products, and the ideology required to maintain these structures needs to go beyond the original intentions when they were created. In other words, Vitalik emphasized the ideological evolution of the crypto field and its complex relationship with governance needs, and proposed that a more comprehensive philosophy is needed to meet these challenges.
