In a tweet on 9/6, Casey clearly pointed out that Rocktoshi has nothing to do with the Ordinals protocol. He and Rocktoshi were friends who knew each other before the invention of Ordinals. As for Ordinals, Rocktoshi didn't contribute even a single useful idea or a string of code because he couldn't program at all. If we really want to get involved, Rocktoshi is one of the four co-founders of Ordinals Corporation, a company founded by Casey after the success of Oridnals. This is a new startup established in February 2023. But Casey said it was disbanded less than three months later due to poor thinking at the time.
Casey said that when he started the company, he found Rocktoshi to be an untrustworthy person. He then made it clear to Rocktoshi that he was unwilling to work with him, and Rocktoshi asked Casey to purchase his equity in the company for $5 million. NodeMonkes is the most high-profile NFT in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Rune Miner RSIC airdropped up to 5 RSICs to active addresses owning NodeMonkes on January 22 this year. On March 18, the floor price of NodeMonkes reached a record high price of 0.73 BTC. As soon as the news came out, the floor price dropped from 0.116 BTC on 9/5 to 0.103 BTC on 9/6, a drop of more than 10%.
