'Pro-cryptocurrency' Trump virtually loses in US presidential TV debate
Support rate plummets 3%… BTC plummets as Trump’s support rate falls
Candidate Yang, 100-minute debate, no comment on cryptocurrency
With only 56 days left until the US presidential election, Vice President Harris is seen as having effectively won the televised debate, launching fierce attacks on former President Trump. Vice President Harris, who was considered to be somewhat underdog, made a logical comment to former President Trump, saying, “I don’t have any plans,” and “I have no plans but tax cuts.”
Former President Trump retorted, "Vice President Harris's pledges are nothing more than a copy of the Biden administration's economic policies," and "Both Vice President Harris and her father are Marxists."
However, the two candidates' approval ratings, which were about 3% apart, were tied immediately after the TV debate ended, thanks to the evaluation that Vice President Harris, who pushed Trump with a more logical tone in the TV debate, performed better than expected.
Bitcoin fell by about 2.5% in an instant after former President Trump, who had repeatedly pledged to "make the United States a cryptocurrency hub," was effectively defeated.
While the two candidates debated various issues including the economy, security, and diplomacy, they did not leave any comments on cryptocurrency. This fact is also being evaluated as having led to the decline of Bitcoin.
In particular, candidate Harris did not include a pledge on cryptocurrency in her presidential campaign platform released on the 9th. When candidate Harris, who had no specific plans for cryptocurrency, won the TV debate, Bitcoin began to fall.
Bitcoin is plummeting in the afternoon of the 11th. As of 1pm on the 11th, Bitcoin is recording $56,457 according to CoinMarketCap.
