The team stated: "In the Chronicle ecosystem, validators are trusted participants - established protocols or protocols with verified operational security - that provide data to the oracle. The expanded set of validators in Chronicle increases security and resilience, making it more difficult for technical failures or hackers to impact consensus and cripple the network." (CoinDesk)
