According to Mars Finance, the open source AI platform Sentient released the white paper "OML: Opening the Era of AI Entrepreneurship". There are two paradigms for the deployment of AI models today: open and closed. The open model provides community-driven innovation and resists the trend of centralized AI companies controlling the world. On the other hand, the closed model (accessed through APIs) enables those centralized AI companies to profit directly through monetization and usage control.
Sentient introduces a new paradigm where models can be Open, Monetizable, and Tokenized (OML). This new way of AI model deployment opens up new possibilities for open source AI development and AI entrepreneurship.
