Blockchain jobs are a new recruitment trend in Vietnam. Not only attractive because of the salary, but this environment also brings many opportunities for advancement and investment opportunities for workers. How is blockchain job recruitment in Vietnam?
Here are BeInCrypto's findings and observations on this emerging job market.
Blockchain job recruitment in Vietnam: High salary but less exciting
According to Indeed's report, the demand for recruiting human resources for jobs in the blockchain industry has increased by 395% in the period 2020 - 2023. Gartner predicts that about 70% of large enterprises will use Blockchain by 2025. And LinkedIn's report also said that blockchain programming skills are one of the top 10 skills sought by employers in 2024.
These are the latest figures in the world, but in Vietnam, according to BeInCrypto's research, the number of blockchain jobs posted by major recruitment sites in Vietnam is very modest. As of September, TopCV only had 61 blockchain job postings, ITViec had 09 jobs, and Vietnamworks had 01 job posting.
In general, jobs in this industry have a high Medium salary, from 1,000 USD - 5,000 USD/month. However, due to the nature of the profession, it requires the ability to learn and experience of the candidate. In addition, the number of Vietnamese businesses operating in this field is not much (mainly for legal reasons), capable candidates can apply to foreign companies. Therefore, blockchain job recruitment activities in Vietnam are not as vibrant as in the world.
Even though blockchain is a technology industry, the demand for non-tech positions is in the majority.
According to a recent report by Blockchainwork – a website specializing in blockchain jobs in Vietnam – shows another paradox in recruiting in this industry as follows:

Source: Blockchainwork.- Although blockchain is a technology industry, the demand for technology-related positions is small, instead there are other positions that do not require programming expertise (non-tech). Blockchainwork said that in the past month, 67% of the demand for non-tech positions. These are positions related to the fields of Marketing and Sales.
- The number of non-tech jobs surpassing technical jobs shows that projects value promoting their name and image to users. This is a means to attract new people and gain market share. Non-tech jobs in this industry also have attractive salaries from 1,000 USD - 2,000 USD/month depending on the level.
It is predicted that when Vietnam takes important steps in perfecting the legal framework for the Crypto market, jobs related to blockchain or Web3 will become more popular. With the development of AI, candidates have more means of self-learning. Vietnam has the advantage of being in the Top 5 countries with the highest Crypto acceptance index, as long as there is a legal framework, many Web3 businesses will appear and seek human resources.
