ChainCatcher reported that at the opening ceremony of the GameOnTON global game hackathon held by modular payment protocol AEON, TON Foundation, Nomad Capital, and TOP in Singapore on September 19, Gate.io founder and CEO Han Lin presented detailed data on the TON ecosystem in his keynote speech "Gateway to TON Ecosystem". According to forecasts, Telegram users will reach 1.5 billion by 2028, and the TON Foundation expects monthly active TON users to reach 500 million within five years. Games are the track with the highest share and the most potential user growth in the TON ecosystem.
Han Lin pointed out that although the number of active TON addresses continues to increase, TVL and DEX trading volume are still at a low level, and the number of developers is insufficient. He emphasized the three major pain points facing the TON ecosystem: the need for lower token distribution and transfers, lower transaction fees, and cross-chain transactions of stablecoins.
