This channel, which is used to stream prominent Indian court hearings, was hacked and posted a video promoting Ripple (XRP). The channel has now been temporarily suspended.
Supreme Court of India YouTube Channel Hacked to Shill Ripple (XRP)
According to Bloomberg citing local media sources, the YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India was hacked this afternoon, marking the first such incident with the judicial body.
The "Supreme Court of India" channel - which is often used to broadcast live hearings on hot topics such as the constitution, rape, murder... for XEM and the press - has been showing videos promoting Ripple and the XRP Token .

Most notably, a video titled "Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds To The SEC's $2 Billion Fine! XRP PRICE PREDICTION" appeared at the top of the channel list with a thumbnail that read " XRP Token will soon hit $2 this month", which went live early the same morning European time.
Not only did the XRP Token shill video clip post, the channel's name was changed to "Ripple.live24", and all previous live content from the Indian Court was also hidden.
The move comes as the Supreme Court of India is gearing up to hear several important cases involving "Public Interest Litigation (PIL)" , "SpiceJet's plea against Delhi High Court's order grounding three of its aircraft engines due to default in payments" , and "Muslim plea challenging Allahabad High Court's order against Hindu parties involved in Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute" .
At the time of writing, the channel has been temporarily locked. The Supreme Court of India also immediately posted a notice suspending all activities of this YouTube channel until the problem is resolved.
Notice of suspension of hacked YouTube channel dated 20/09/2024 by Supreme Court of India.
This is also not the first time a YouTube channel has been hacked to post videos promoting Ripple ( XRP). Remember in early 2024, the MixiGaming YouTube account with 7.3 million followers of streamer Do Mixi had all gaming videos hidden , switching to displaying livestreams about Ripple's XRP coin.
At that time, when searching for MixiGaming results on YouTube, XEM would only see 2 livestream videos talking about Ripple (XRP), predicting " XRP will hit 2 USD" this month. In addition, it was no longer possible to find any old videos from Mixigaming. The channel's name was also changed to Ripple, accompanied by a "gray tick" confirming the account owner.
Although it is still unknown how the attackers took over the accounts, a part of the MixiGaming XEM community at that time believed that the reason could be because Mr. Do Mixi or the team behind it used unofficial software, containing vulnerabilities for hackers to penetrate.
Ripple has been in a legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) since 2020 over alleged violations of securities laws related to the sale of XRP. The case is XEM as a major confrontation between the cryptocurrency industry and regulators over the future of the industry in the United States. SEC Chairman Gary Gensler 's views are said to be similar to those of Senator Warren, who has also repeatedly criticized the industry.
Recently, Co-founder Chris Larsen and Chairman of Ripple, along with 87 other business leaders, publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in this year's White House race.
