Wemade announced on the 22nd that it has completed the 'Wemix Open 2024', a nationwide amateur tennis tournament.
The tournament, which was held for about 4 months from June 15, was attended by a total of 1,374 teams and over 2,500 people. The total prize money is equivalent to about 54.1 million won in 50,000 WEMIX, which is the largest scale of an amateur tennis tournament held in Korea so far.

Participants competed in preliminary rounds in 8 regions across the country. On the 19th and 20th, players who won in each region gathered at the Jangchung Tennis Court in Seoul for the final showdown. Top amateur rankers such as Yoon Chung-sik, Choi Han-min, and Wang Seo-jeong participated in the final tournament.
Goh Eun-a, the winner of the women's team event, said, "The atmosphere on site was more passionate than any other tournament" and "It was a meaningful time to be able to contribute to the local community through the tennis I love."
Wemade utilized its blockchain-based social platform 'Wepublic' to enhance the fairness of participant recruitment for this tournament. In line with the tournament slogan 'The Start of a Rally Towards a Better World', Wemade provided participants with opportunities to practice sharing. An on-site event was prepared to provide commemorative gifts to all participants who started sponsoring through Wepublic. Tournament winners were also allowed to directly sponsor various social contribution projects within Wepublic. Wemade plans to continue providing new sports experiences utilizing blockchain technology to promote blockchain adoption.
Meanwhile, Wemade will host the 'Wemix Championship 2024' at the Busan Haeundae Beach Golf & Resort from November 16 to 17. The Wemix Championship 2024 is a championship tournament held after the KLPGA Tour season. 24 top players who shone this year, such as Yoon Ee-na, Park Hyun-kyung, Park Ji-young, and Lee Ye-won, are expected to participate.
