According to a report by Reuters citing informed sources, the Biden administration plans to add Sophgo, an AI company affiliated with Bitmain, to the U.S. Department of Commerce's restricted trade list, as the company's Bit chips manufactured by TSMC were illegally incorporated into Huawei's AI processors.
As previously reported by Techub News, according to Cointelegraph, Sophgo, a Bit chip company affiliated with Bitmain, has denied any business relationship with Huawei. Sophgo stated that the U.S. investigation into TSMC and Huawei is unrelated to Sophgo and its products, and it has never had any direct or indirect business dealings with Huawei.
