Recently many brothers have asked me how to obtain Monad's DC community role and asked me if it is okay to chat. I found that many people on Twitter also think that just chatting is okay. This is a huge misunderstanding. Let me introduce the process and some other content that everyone is very concerned about!
Monad is currently divided into two communities, the DC community and the TG community. The DC community has a high entry threshold, while the TG community has a very low entry threshold and everyone can enter the TG community.
Now let's talk about the characters. Monad characters cannot be obtained through casual chatting, and the chat level is useless. Spam is not welcome in the DC community.
Let me introduce the process of obtaining DC community roles. When you first join the DC community, you are in the "Newbie Village". At this time, you need a full access role. With this role, you can unlock other channels. The question is, how to get it? We can do it by making memes, writing articles, and participating in community activities, including language TG community activities. This is not difficult, not very difficult!
When you get the "full access" role, you will unlock all channels in the DC community. Next, your goal is the nads role. Please note that because the nads role is difficult to obtain, the local nads role appears. The local nads role is easier to obtain than the nads role. You can also make memes, write articles, participate in community activities, and even come up with your own ideas to initiate activities. You can take a look at this contribution document. It should be noted that there are some common forms here. The Monad community is very open and there is no limit on the form of contribution! https:// monad-labs.notion.site/contribute-mon ad .
When you think your contribution has reached the requirement, you can ask someone with the NADs role to nominate you, and then naturally there will be NADs to vote for you, and the community team will review whether to give you the local NADs role or the NADs role. Here is a random screenshot of the nomination information. You can see from a quick look that it is very involuted.
Let’s talk about the complaints about the difficulty of obtaining characters.
The current people who own characters can be said to be early users + King of Volume. In the early days, characters were very easy to obtain, and I think this is also a benefit for early users. Then everyone knows that there is a retirement mechanism, which is also a kind of screening, because many early users find it easy to obtain characters, and they are no longer active in the later stages, so their characters will retire. When they retire, the NADs role quota will be vacated, and the vacant role quota will fall to those who have worked hard and contributed later!
Monad did not disappoint its true loyal supporters in the early days, and was generous with its rewards to early supporters: W airdropped 8,000 tokens or 4,000 tokens, OMNI airdropped 400 tokens, and XION airdropped 200 tokens. These were all rewards for early loyal supporters (these were only rewards from other projects, not Monad's own token rewards). This is also the reason why it is difficult to obtain NADs roles, because NADs roles cannot grow indefinitely and the number needs to be controlled so that the rewards distributed to these loyal supporters are worthy of their contributions. If the number of NADs roles increases significantly, the rewards allocated to each person will be greatly reduced, which is not what Monad wants to see, so this has caused a large number of people to compete for the limited NADs roles, which is why everyone feels that it is difficult to obtain NADs roles!
Let me talk about the reason why everyone who has the ability should try to get a role. Monad's slogan has always been community first. W, OMNI, and XION are all rewards from other projects, so Monad's own rewards must cover a much larger range. It is not necessary to have NADs roles or above, such as OG, to get them. I also mentioned above that in addition to NADs roles, in order to disperse the competitive pressure of NADs roles, local NADs roles were launched. The reason for doing this is to allow everyone who has contributed to get a role. Local NADs roles are translated as local NADs, which actually means your contribution in the language channel, which reduces the difficulty a lot. Many people in the Chinese channel have also obtained this role, so if everyone wants to try to get a role, local NADs roles are a good choice, because local NADs roles are also Monad's recognition of your contribution. I will not go on to say more, just feel it for yourself.
Let me talk about retired roles again. Brothers who have received retired roles don't need to worry. I know it's hard. Most of you must have received the roles in the early stage. There were no rewards at that time, so you were no longer active. As a result, you found that your role was pushed down after seeing W was a big airdrop. Here is what I think, why give you a retired role instead of canceling your role directly? Is it possible that this role also has a certain role in the Monad community? There must be a reason for doing so. What if one day you really receive a one-time "retirement"? So I remind everyone, don't think that you are finished if you have a retired role, and don't quit the DC community easily!
Finally, a reminder: you will not get any contribution role by just joining the group. Don't just believe what others say. The Monad community has opened up a new community model, and you have to accept it (although there are some uncomfortable parts). Since the emergence of Gmonad, a lot of catchphrases starting with G have appeared. Since the emergence of Monad's waiting-room, a lot of project parties have followed suit. Some project parties even asked me what Monad's community model is like and whether their community can learn from it, even in part!
Summary: Regarding monads, those who hear about them are not as knowledgeable as those who see them, and those who see them are not as knowledgeable as those who live in them.
