Analyst: AI Agent hype is expected to continue for at least four months

PANews reported on January 6 that Jamie Coutts, the chief cryptocurrency analyst at investment firm Real Vision, posted on the X platform that the last major cryptocurrency hype cycle was from November 2020 to May 2021, about 6 months. The sub-sectors such as DeFi and Non-Fungible Token lasted about 6 to 12 months. People's interest in AI Agents in the cryptocurrency space started to rise in November 2024. Based on historical experience, this trend is expected to continue for at least four months, but possibly longer. AI Agents are different from other areas - they have unleashed the potential of every established and new use case. There will be many scams (need to be cautious/reasonably position the portfolio), just like every hype cycle, and the sell-off will be very fierce, but I suspect this trend still has a lot of room for development.
