Hackathon Summary
HackPrinceton Fall 2024 Hackathon was held at Princeton University from November 8th to 10th. The event attracted 238 developers who registered 99 projects, and participants engaged in workshops, mentoring sessions, and demonstrations during the 36-hour event. The Hackathon had four main tracks: Education + Interaction, Healthcare, Finance, and Sustainability, encouraging diverse and innovative ideas.
In addition to the main tracks, there were seventeen challenges sponsored by sponsors as bounties, adding a competitive element to the event. Participants submitted their projects through public GitHub repositories and presented two-minute demos to the judges on the final day. One highlight was the effective project "demos" that showcased significant innovations across different industries within the time constraint, increasing the visibility of the projects.
Prizes were an important motivator, with the overall champion prize being a set of AirPod Max, awarded to each member of the winning team, and the second-place team receiving an Xbox Series S console. HackPrinceton Fall 2024 played a crucial role in skill development, collaboration, and creative problem-solving, showcasing the positive engagement of both experienced and novice participants.

HormoniQ - Addresses the challenge of PCOS diagnosis through a machine learning tool that analyzes hormonal patterns in health records, providing early intervention possibilities for healthcare providers.
World Translationator 5000 - Uses quantum natural language processing technology for accurate translation, solving language barriers in medical settings.
