Raydium expands from spot trading to futures trading
Utilizing Orderly's 'Omnichain Order Book'
"A new chapter in the Solana DeFi ecosystem"
Raydium (Raydium), the leading decentralized exchange (DEX) in the Solana ecosystem, has integrated with Orderly Network, a Web 3.0 infrastructure provider, and introduced perpetual futures trading on January 9. This utilizes Orderly Network's 'Omnichain Order Book', making Raydium the first DEX in the Solana ecosystem to leverage Orderly Network's advanced perpetual futures liquidity solution.
Raydium, with 8.4 million active users and over 600,000 daily active traders, is a powerhouse in Solana's spot trading. The introduction of perpetual futures supported by Orderly will allow Raydium to expand its trading opportunities by providing access to leveraged futures trading with deep liquidity.
The integration with the Raydium protocol was made possible by Orderly Network's deployment of the Omnichain Order Book on Solana in December. With the mainnet launch, Solana protocols can now leverage Orderly Network's advanced Omnichain infrastructure to draw liquidity from over 30 DEXs and 73 token pairs.
Ran Yi, co-founder of Orderly Network, said "The integration of Raydium and Orderly Network is a game-changer for Solana's DeFi ecosystem. By combining Raydium's best-in-class UI and proven protocol with Orderly Network's Omnichain liquidity infrastructure, we will enable deeper liquidity and more dynamic trading options."
By launching the perpetual futures market using Orderly Network's technology, Raydium is expected to enhance the trading opportunities in Solana and expand the scope of DeFi primitives. Despite dominating the spot trading in Solana, the network had lagged behind EVM networks in perpetual futures due to liquidity constraints and lack of optimized infrastructure.
Orderly Network's cloud-based liquidity infrastructure solves this gap by aggregating all orders into a single shared order book across multiple blockchains. This unified liquidity pool improves trading efficiency, provides deeper liquidity, and tighter spreads, overcoming the limitations that previously hindered Solana's perpetual futures trading.
The integration of Raydium and Orderly Network is expected to open a new chapter in the evolution of Solana's DeFi ecosystem, and provide traders with a more dynamic and liquid market.
