He pointed out that the EF currently exhibits an "anti-victory and competitive mentality", which has led many community members to question whether they should stay. Eric said that leadership, culture and community are all important, but the EF is currently more inclined to focus on "goodwill" and emotional issues, rather than understanding the community's demand for change. As an early participant in the Ethereum ecosystem and a co-founder of Ethhub, Eric said he may have lost his passion for Ethereum, but still hopes Ethereum can succeed.

Odaily News reported that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to the suggestion that "the Ethereum Foundation can stake its ETH", saying, "The historical concerns have been: 1. regulatory issues; 2. if the Ethereum Foundation self-stakes, it effectively forces us to take a stance on any future contentious hard forks. The regulatory issues have decreased compared to before, but the Ethereum Foundation self-staking still has issues. There are definitely ways to minimize it, and we've been exploring these recently."

Odaily report: Abstract's main contributor cygaar posted that "The Ethereum Foundation (EF) has never contacted me or any member of the Abstract team. I do not expect any special treatment or a lot of help, but it would be nice to occasionally talk to someone at the EF so we can figure out how to best help each other. We are particularly focused on building L2 on Ethereum because we believe it can help scale the world's most decentralized platform. Most of our team members entered the crypto space through Ethereum and hope to build strong consumer applications for it. We have done a lot of work on account abstraction and building consumer-friendly user experiences, which are two initiatives being discussed by Ethereum core members. It would be great to collaborate with the Ethereum Foundation, understand their views on our work, and find ways to make it better. I hope the new EF leadership will engage more with teams on Ethereum. I can almost certainly say that there are dozens of other teams in the same situation as us. Ultimately, if we want Ethereum to succeed, we need to put more effort into attracting teams and helping them succeed." Afterwards, EF team member joshrudolf.eth responded, "DM'ed. I very much agree that we have a lot of room for improvement in our L1 <> L2 channels/collaboration. This will also be my sole focus going forward at the EF."
