PANews on January 31 reported that according to official information, The Sandbox has officially acquired its long-term development partner, the Romanian studio QED, and established The Sandbox Romania. QED was founded in 2019, headquartered in Timisoara, with a team of 17 people, becoming the 13th global office of The Sandbox, with other office locations including Hong Kong, Seoul, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Paris. The Sandbox Chief Operating Officer Sebastien Borget said that the QED team has outstanding technical capabilities and will drive the upgrade of future versions of the platform. QED co-founder Ioana Verebi said they look forward to working with The Sandbox to build an innovative virtual world and promote the development of decentralization and blockchain technology.
