Since the end of last year, Kaito has been leading the InfoFi market heat, and it is rumored that 1 YAP is worth around $80-160. Some people have also started to question whether Kaito will pua users like Friend.tech during the bear market. However, today (14th) Kaito's official side updated the token whitepaper, reintroducing InfoFi. More detailed token economics will be updated later, but does this also imply that the TGE is imminent?

ToggleKaito is committed to reshaping the InfoFi relationship
In the AI era, the marginal cost of information production has dropped sharply, leading to an oversupply of information, but also making it more difficult to filter out valuable information. This means that the scarcest resource now is not information, but attention (which can be quantified by metrics such as clicks, likes, shares, and page views).
Kaito believes that the current attention economy is unfair, where creators produce content, users contribute data, and brands invest in advertising, but the information platforms capture most of the value. Therefore, Kaito wants to reshape the relationship between creators, users, brands, and platforms, and create a fairer and more efficient attention economy model.
Kaito Yaps: Tokenizing attention, the official tells you how Yaps work
The so-called Yaps are essentially the tokenization of attention, which is used to quantify the influence of creators, rather than just relying on the number of followers or exposure. For users, they can use Yaps to discover high-quality content sources, and for brands, they can use Yaps to precisely target influential creators.
Kaito has also announced three key indicators for measuring Yaps:
- The volume of topic-relevant content published.
- Reputation-weighted real interactions, which is why interacting with Inner Circle Yappers can earn so many points.
- High-quality, original, and in-depth discussions, so no more AI-generated nonsense.
$KAITO: The native token of the InfoFi ecosystem
$KAITO will serve as the primary medium of exchange within the Kaito ecosystem. Token holders can influence the flow of attention within the InfoFi ecosystem platforms. The recently launched Kaito Connect may be a potential application scenario, where users vote for projects using their Yaps, and the highest-voted project will be included in the Kaito Mindshare dashboard. Many projects choose to bribe Yap holders to vote for them to ensure they are included.
However, this trend shows signs of waning, mainly because the voting cycle is too short, and project teams have realized that they don't need to bribe, as the best projects will naturally win in the end. On the other hand, there are not many good projects, and once the good projects graduate, the market will lack competition.
