The Pump.Fun platform, which is a Solana meme coin launch platform, announced on 2/14 on X that the Pump.Fun App mobile application has been launched on Google Play and Apple Store. The logo is a green and white pill, which is a major innovation for the platform after it closed down live streaming on the internet last November. The platform has now expanded to a mobile application, allowing retail investors to issue their own meme coins on the Pump.Fun app, as well as bet and gamble on meme coins.

ToggleHow to use the Pump.Fun mobile application
Registering for the Pump.Fun app is relatively simple, just requiring an email to create a new account, which can be connected to an existing Phantom wallet. Pump.Fun focuses on free and fast meme coin creation, and users can also create their own watchlists to track the latest trends of their favorite meme coins.
Pump.Fun APP registration steps
1. Download the app from the iOS App Store or Google Play.
2. Open the app, enter an email address to register a new account. You can use Gmail to register, and the system will send a verification code to the registered email. Open the email, note down the verification code, and enter it in the downloaded app to create the account. After creating the account, you can enter a nickname, which can be any name you like. Note that Pump.Fun will bind the email, and you will need to enter the verification code sent by the system each time you log in, so make sure the email used for Pump.Fun login is usable.
3. After creating the account, open the user profile in the bottom right corner. There is a "Deposit Now" button on the banner in the middle of the App. Click it to connect the Phantom cryptocurrency wallet and transfer SOL. If you don't have Phantom, you can also download the wallet through the in-app link.
4. To issue coins, go to the "Create a coin" field at the bottom of the wallet. You can upload pictures or videos, enter the meme coin name and ticker, and a text description. The ticker is the abbreviation of the cryptocurrency name, such as ETH for Ethereum. According to the author's test, it takes less than 2 minutes to create a meme coin from an iPhone, including uploading a picture, naming the coin, entering the ticker and description, which is very fast and easy. And you don't need to transfer SOL to list the meme coin.
Note: The minted meme coin is not "on-chain" yet. To get it on the Solana chain, you need to transfer SOL and complete the first purchase process, then the meme coin will be officially on-chain. Pump.Fun has a disclaimer stating that Pump.Fun "is not" an exchange and does not provide any investment advice, meme coins are not digital assets and have no value, and all transactions are processed through the self-custodial Privy.io wallet, with Pump.Fun charging a service fee for each transaction.
Interestingly, Pump.Fun has a very low rating of 2.5 stars out of 51 reviews on iOS, with many 1-star reviews calling it a scam and trash. But there are also many 5-star reviews that seem to be washing the ratings, with those 5-star reviewers even encouraging people to buy certain meme coins. This shows that these online reviews, whether positive or negative, are largely untrustworthy.
