Somnia: The L1 that Supports the Creator Economy Metaverse

Somnia is an EVM Layer 1 blockchain network that provides higher transaction throughput and fast block confirmation through MultiStream technology. Its sequential execution and compression algorithms optimize data transmission efficiency and increase data transmission speed between nodes. The customized database IceDB can achieve 70-100 nanosecond read and write times, keeping transaction costs below one US cent, allowing Somnia to serve millions of users in areas like gaming, social, metaverse, and finance, ensuring end-to-end processes and significantly improving the efficiency of EVM networks.
Somnia is developed by the Virtual Society Foundation, an independent organization initiated by Improbable, a British startup. The Virtual Society Foundation received initial funding support from MSquared, which raised $150 million in 2022.
