Just 3 days earlier, he had warned his fans about fake memecoin projects using his name, raising questions about his true motives in quickly launching an official Token afterwards.
Hey guys! Keep an eye out for fake memecoins with my name around here. Remembering that I don't have any official tokens yet... 👀

For the entire crypto community: stay tuned because very soon we will have big news here! 🤙🏾
Ronaldinho's Token Issuance comes at a time when memecoins are losing their appeal, leading many experts to express concerns and criticize him for focusing on protecting investors rather than launching a memecoin. Some have warned that the team behind it may exploit his reputation for personal gain.
Kanye West, the controversial rapper, is also set to launch the YZY Token despite previously calling memecoins a ploy to exploit fans.
History also does not favor celebrity-backed memecoins. Tokens related to former US President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Iggy Azalea, and Andrew Tate have all lost up to 80% of their value. A study found that 97% of memecoins fail, and most Influencer-promoted Tokens "flatline" afterwards.
Ronaldinho himself has also been accused of involvement in a previous crypto scam, further raising concerns about this new project.
While memecoins remain an integral part of the crypto market, projects without real-world utility are easily forgotten. Although the SEC has confirmed that memecoins are not securities, the success of STAR10 remains a big question mark.
Ronaldinho claims he wants to create a "legacy," but is this a genuine opportunity or just another fleeting trend like many memecoins before it?
