Planet Daily News: Since Bitcoin's block reward halving last year, Ethereum has underperformed Bitcoin, which is the first time this has occurred. The ETH/BTC exchange rate has dropped to a five-year low of 0.02193. This year, Ethereum has declined 39% relative to Bitcoin. In May 2020, Ethereum was priced around $200, with Bitcoin slightly below $10,000. Today, Ethereum is priced around $1,800, while Bitcoin is around $82,000. The current downturn echoes the poor performance in 2019, further highlighting Ethereum's relative weakness, especially compared to other Layer 1 assets. The SOL/ETH exchange rate has risen 24% year-to-date to 0.07007.
