According to ChainCatcher, citing Decrypt, metaverse technology company Futureverse announced the acquisition of digital collectibles platform Candy Digital on April 16, 2025, with the transaction amount undisclosed. This acquisition enables Futureverse to obtain 4 million digital collectibles and 1.5 million user accounts, as well as collaboration relationships with blue-chip brands such as Netflix, DC Comics, and MLB.
It is reported that Futureverse was established in late 2022 and completed a $54 million Series A funding round in 2023, with a valuation of approximately $1 billion.
