According to ChainCatcher and Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), a forged news report has recently appeared online, claiming that Li Ka-shing shared insights on cryptocurrency investment during a TVB news program. The false report mimicked a local English media website, asserting that an investment of 2,000 Hong Kong dollars could yield a million-dollar return within four months through a specific cryptocurrency platform.
The report also fabricated a scenario where the Hong Kong Monetary Authority had intervened and blocked related content. TVB has filed a police report regarding this fraudulent activity and called on the public to remain vigilant and carefully verify information from unknown sources.
