PANews reported on April 21 that according to Cointelegraph, newly released Federal Election Commission (FEC) documents show that several cryptocurrency companies and their executives made significant contributions to Donald Trump's inauguration fund after the 2024 election results. According to FEC documents released on April 20, Uniswap CEO Hayden Adams donated over $245,000, Solana Labs donated $1 million, and software company ConsenSys donated $100,000 to support the president-elect's inauguration ceremony. Previously, many major cryptocurrency companies, including Coinbase, Ripple Labs, Kraken, Ondo Finance, and Robinhood, had announced support by donating to the inauguration fund.
Overall, Trump's inauguration fund reported that net donations from companies and individuals between November 15 last year and April 20 this year exceeded $239 million. These include $1 million from McDonald's, $1 million from Apple CEO Tim Cook, $1 million from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and various donations from companies such as Delta Air Lines, ExxonMobil, FedEx, NVIDIA, PayPal, Target, and Coca-Cola.
