
PANews reported on April 26 that according to the Hong Kong Commercial Daily, the Hong Kong Police have received nearly 100 investment fraud cases in the past week, with total losses exceeding 90 million yuan. Among these cases, an 84-year-old man met a person claiming to be a CEO of a data company through WeChat and was tricked into investing in virtual currency, transferring nearly 10 million yuan to the fraudster's account in 14 installments.
The Hong Kong Police remind the public to fully understand the characteristics of virtual asset products and information security risks before investing, and to carefully consider investments.
