PANews reported on April 27 that according to The Block, the Arbitrum Foundation of Ethereum Layer 2 network announced its withdrawal from the Nvidia-supported Ignition AI accelerator program, due to the chip giant's requirement not to mention the collaboration in crypto-related announcements. Previously, the two parties were set to reach an exclusive partnership, with Arbitrum becoming the sole Ethereum ecosystem representative in the AI acceleration plan. An Arbitrum Foundation spokesperson stated that Nvidia recently changed its stance, willing to maintain cooperation but prohibiting public disclosure, which demonstrates a lack of long-term commitment to the crypto field. The accelerator program was originally intended to provide Arbitrum with AI development guidance and cloud service credits. Notably, another public chain, Aptos, continues to maintain its cooperation with the accelerator. The foundation emphasized that the withdrawal decision was based on business considerations and that they will choose partners who "fully support blockchain innovation" in the future.
