This is how Splits Teams manages to be secure _and_ noncustodial _and_ easy to use. 🧵

The rest of the Team's tree can then be updated freely and fearlessly with Merkle transactions and gas paymasters.
No matter what state the tree is in, when you expand to a new chain you can resync the entire tree with a single Root transaction 🌳
Obvious downside: can't change the Root signers! This is annoying, but acceptable in the short term.
Teams can decide what security model they're comfortable with re: unique signers and thresholds.
And most onchain startups founders are familiar with securing seed phrases, etc.
