Binance announced that it will support renaming the STPT token to AWE, and simultaneously implement the Token Swap and brand upgrade to AWE Network (AWE). According to information from Binance cited by PANews on May 7, this event marks an important transformation of the Standard Tokenization Protocol (STPT) project in repositioning its brand and expanding its ecosystem.
Specifically, Binance will suspend all STPT-related transactions at 11:00 on May 19 (Vietnam time). Afterward, the platform will reopen trading for the AWE token at 16:00 on May 21 (Vietnam time). Users holding STPT will be automatically swapped to AWE at a 1:1 ratio, ensuring no disruption or asset loss.
Additionally, STPT deposit and withdrawal services will be temporarily suspended on May 19. AWE token deposits will be reopened simultaneously with the start of trading on May 21. Other related services such as leveraged trading, earning interest, quick swaps, and current STPT support features will also be gradually converted to support AWE to synchronize the system after the brand upgrade.
The conversion from STPT to AWE is not just a name change but also reflects the new development direction of the AWE Network project in the field of asset Tokenization and Web3 infrastructure.
