According to Cointelegraph, Kevin Rusher, the founder of RAAC, analyzed that although gold has long been considered a safe-haven asset, its traditional investment methods lack profitability. Real-world assets (RWA) such as gold can be tokenized through DeFi protocols and participate in yield strategies like lending and staking to improve capital efficiency. For example, gold mining companies can issue tokens linked to their reserves, which can be converted into stablecoins and participate in yield-generating activities within the DeFi ecosystem.
Kevin Rusher believes that blockchain technology also empowers gold investors with 24/7 trading, real-time price discovery, and rapid settlement capabilities, enhancing the asset's liquidity and flexibility. DeFi is expected to combine gold's stability with the profitability of digital finance, building a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets.
