According to ChainCatcher, Web3 AI data infrastructure platform PublicAI won the championship in the "Beyond Borders AI Startup Competition" at the 2025 MIT Saudi Business Summit and received strategic funding support from the Saudi government.
The summit was hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and co-organized by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Investment, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and InspiredU from Saudi Telecom Company (STC), aiming to promote global innovation closely aligned with Saudi Arabia's "2030 Vision". PublicAI co-founder Kenji Narushima stated: "This award not only validates that our fair, decentralized data model is key to future AI development, but also provides a viable path for building ethical AI technology and solving global poverty through AI."
It is understood that PublicAI adopts a decentralized data collection, annotation, and verification model, dedicated to addressing the need for high-quality, diverse training data in the AI field. Currently, PublicAI has over 800,000 users and has achieved enterprise-level data collaboration exceeding $13 million. Recently, it has also received support from organizations such as the Solana Foundation, Stanford Blockchain Accelerator, and Near Foundation, gradually becoming an emerging infrastructure for the AI economy.
