On May 15th, Hedra, a US-based AI video platform, completed its Series A funding round worth 32 million USD. The round was led by a16z Infrastructure Fund (from Andreessen Horowitz), with participation from other investors such as Index Ventures, Abstract, and several other Venture Capital funds. The total capital Hedra has raised to date amounts to 43 million USD.
Hedra aims to expand its team to 60 people by the end of 2025. At the same time, the company is focusing on developing and upgrading the Character-3 model — a new generation AI model specifically designed for enterprise-level video marketing needs. Character-3 can process and integrate diverse inputs such as text, images, and audio to create realistic, high-quality digital characters.
With this core technology, the Hedra platform provides an optimal solution that helps brands and businesses produce authentic, vivid video content quickly and cost-effectively.
