Vitalik proposes a local node-friendly expansion solution for Ethereum

Vitalik Buterin suggests that Ethereum L1 scaling should consider the operability of personal nodes. In the short term, he proposes advancing EIP-4444 to allow nodes to only keep approximately 36 days of historical data, building a distributed historical storage system, and adjusting the Gas mechanism to increase storage costs and reduce execution costs. The medium-term goal is to achieve stateless verification, further reducing storage requirements. In the long term, introduce "partial stateless nodes" where nodes only maintain part of the state data configured by users, ensuring that users can still locally access important states and maintain privacy and censorship resistance under the context of increased L1 Gas limits.
