According to the PANews report on May 20, data from Onchain Lens indicates that cryptocurrency trader James Wynn recently used a 40x leverage to expand his Longing position with Bitcoin, with the current total market value of this position exceeding 533 million USD. At the same time, he is also holding a Longing position with PEPE using 10x leverage and currently has an unrealized profit of around 22.92 million USD.
James Wynn once earned 25 million USD from an initial capital of 7,000 USD and is a passionate futures and MEME token trader. He favors a high-leverage trading style, likes to "shill" but has also been suspected of manipulating watchers. On his personal X page, Wynn describes himself as a "Globally famous veteran player, I love leverage, I love Meme, but what I love most is making money". His X account was registered in April 2023, with the first token he shilled being PEPE – since then, he became famous for the story of "turning 7,000 USD into 25 million USD".
Recently, Wynn used the wallet address 0x507...bedb6 on the Hyperliquid platform to open positions, bringing in a profit of 38.78 million USD in just two months since March 21 (of which 26.04 million USD is unrealized profit), with a win rate of 46.88%. His three largest closed profitable positions include TRUMP, FARTCOIN, and PEPE. Wynn's contract trading style is "large orders + high leverage + high frequency", with current unrealized positions including a 40x Long BTC order and a 10x Long PEPE. His previous altcoin and meme positions were also often opened at maximum leverage on Hyperliquid.
James Wynn's position openings are often accompanied by token shilling, although his recent Long BTC position seems to align with his personal view – he has repeatedly stated that "Bitcoin at 100,000 USD is still cheap". However, in April 2024, Wynn heavily shilled the ELON token, attracting many KOLs and small retail investors to FOMO, and then quietly Dumped through a secondary account, causing the ELON price to crash 70% and many watchers to suffer heavy losses.
