On May 21, according to Bloomberg, crypto investment firm Theta Capital Management has completed fundraising of over $175 million to establish a "fund of funds" supporting institutional investors in investing in early-stage blockchain startups.
The fund, named Theta Blockchain Ventures IV, will focus on investing in venture capital firms with professional advantages in the crypto field. Ruud Smets, managing partner and chief investment officer, stated in an interview that Theta was founded in 2001, began focusing on digital assets in 2018, and currently manages approximately $1.2 billion in total assets.
