PANews reports on May 22nd that according to GlobeNewswire, Genius Group (NYSE American: GNS), an artificial intelligence education group, has announced the resumption of Bitcoin reserve construction after lifting a ban in the US Court of Appeals. The company recently added 24.5 BTC, with its current holdings reaching 85.5 BTC (total cost of $8.5 million, average price of $99,700 per BTC), representing a 40% increase. The company reiterated its plan to continue increasing holdings to 1,000 BTC by November 2024. In February 2025, its position had reached 440 BTC, but it was forced to sell most of its holdings between February 14 and May 6 due to a court temporary restraining order. The company has filed a RICO Act amended lawsuit claim with the Southern District of Florida Court.
Genius Group plans to launch a Bitcoin Academy by the end of May, inviting individuals such as Saifedean Ammous, author of "The Bitcoin Standard". CEO Roger Hamilton stated that rebuilding Bitcoin reserves is a key component of the company's 2025 development strategy, aimed at promoting AI, Bitcoin, and community education.
