According to ChainCatcher, Aptos Labs and Jump Crypto announced the launch of the storage network project Shelby on June 24, 2025. The announcement indicates that the project is positioned as a hot storage solution supporting high-frequency Web3 applications, claiming to achieve sub-second data reading and compatibility with multi-chain ecosystems.
The project plans to launch a developer testnet in the fourth quarter of 2025, and will subsequently support blockchains such as Aptos, Ethereum, and Solana. Currently, institutions like Metaplex and Story Protocol have expressed their intention to participate.
