According to Foresight News, citing CoinDesk, Volkswagen's autonomous vehicle subsidiary ADMT is using Bee Maps from the Solana ecosystem DePIN project Hivemapper to obtain real-time map data, enhancing autonomous driving operations. Street-level images collected by Hivemapper cameras from Bee Maps contributors will be used to help validate Volkswagen's autonomous driving technology and improve the accuracy of roadside pickups.
Bee Maps is built on the Hivemapper network, and its contributors will receive cryptocurrency rewards. AI subsequently processes the images to detect signs, construction zones, and closed lanes, ensuring data remains up-to-date.
