Bank of America (BofA) has identified real asset tokenization as the key to financial market innovation and predicted it will be a watershed moment for blockchain commercialization.
According to a Coindesk report on the 3rd (local time), BofA stated that "the movement to tokenize real assets such as stocks, bonds, and real estate on a blockchain basis is rapidly spreading." The analysis suggests that assets that were previously difficult to invest in due to low liquidity will see significantly improved transaction efficiency through tokenization.
BofA noted that "real asset tokenization combines blockchain's reliability and automation capabilities to overcome the limitations of traditional financial systems" and "this can promote structural changes across the financial industry".
Recently, major global financial institutions and regulatory authorities have been accelerating the issuance of RWA-based digital assets, which is leading to an expanded flow of blockchain's practical use cases.
