OpenAI founder: Plans to raise trillions of dollars to build data centers and enter the field of brain-computer interfaces

Now, he is planning to make a major push into consumer hardware, brain-computer interfaces, and social media. Additionally, if the US government forces Google to sell Chrome, he is interested in acquiring it. He also mentioned wanting to raise trillions of dollars to build data centers. Sam Altman said that OpenAI needs more GPUs to maintain its scalability, which is one of its top priorities. Altman stated: "You should expect OpenAI to spend trillions of dollars on data center construction in the near future. We now have to make these terrible trade-offs; we have better models, but we can't provide them because we don't have enough computing power. We also want to offer other types of new products and services." Sam Altman also confirmed recent reports that OpenAI is planning to invest in a brain-computer interface startup to compete with Elon Musk's Neuralink. He said, "I think neural interfaces are a cool idea worth exploring. I hope that whatever I think, ChatGPT can respond to."
