It’s fairly easy to onboard users to pretty much any net new chain now.
We’ve seen single txns of $100M+ bridge over for a few dollars, the UX is here.
Also doubt the marginal user on tempo will care whether it’s built as an L1 or L2 as long as payments are fast and extremely cheap.

Whoever does the same thing as Stripe+Paradigm, but as a payment focussed L2 is going to eat their lunch.
Building your own L1 means giving up most of the network effects of Ethereum, all while gaining no advantage.
It‘s simply ridiculous.
