Yesterday, the SEC voted to approve generic listing standards under Rule 6c-11 of the Investment Company Act of 1940. This creates a standardized, streamlined framework for exchanges to list and trade commodity-based ETPs (ETFs holding spot Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, or baskets of assets) without needing individual SEC approval for each product, as long as they meet predefined criteria.
