the Trump-Mamdani meeting was very interesting
at first, i was surprised Trump even invited him to the White House and assumed that there must be some political objective for him in doing so
but after seeing what went down, i think it's a lot simpler:
Trump just wanted to meet this guy, a total underdog, who defeated the establishment of both parties (something Trump had once done himself)
and they both love New York, and i think that's a meaningful shared bond. yah, Trump can go to Mar-a-Lago, but he'll always be New Yorker first
