Analysis: Cryptocurrency ETPs Likely to Liquidate Within Two Years

More than 100 cryptocurrency ETPs are expected to launch by 2026, but many of them are predicted to be liquidated due to insufficient assets under management. ETP liquidation refers to the process of liquidating all assets and returning them to investors. According to Cointelegraph, Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart predicted, "Currently, there are 126 cryptocurrency ETPs awaiting approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Issuers are launching them first, regardless of their success. Many of these ETPs will be liquidated by the end of 2026 or 2027." Indeed, the BTC-ETH strategy ETF (ARKY, ARKC), jointly launched by ARK Invest and 21Shares, was liquidated this year.
