Analysis: "ETH unlikely to report next year... Still better than other altcoins."

A new analysis suggests that Ethereum (ETH) is unlikely to hit a new high in 2026. According to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency analyst Ben Cowen stated, "If BTC is indeed in a bear market, it will be very difficult for ETH to rise on its own. Even if ETH recovers its all-time high ($4,878), it is likely to be a bull trap (a reversal from a bullish to bearish trend at the upper high of a range). Following the surge, it will likely reverse course and fall to the $2,000 level." He added, "ETH is the only altcoin that still has a chance of recovering its all-time high. Most other altcoins appear to have exhausted their strength during this cycle. Even if they haven't hit a new high yet, it will be difficult to do so within this cycle."
