Welp, I tried using the 14-inch MacBook Pro M5... Great system, but I can't deal with the smaller screen after 4 years of using the 16-inch model, especially because it's the only screen I use when I'm traveling abroad. $AAPL is leaving money on the table without a 16-inch M5.
