There seems to be a propaganda campaign against Dubai. They say it has “no soul” when compared with Rome and Paris and other places with open drug use, tolerated petty crime, homelessness, and (costly) migrant nuisances.

They’re doing that in the UK though. But yes there’s definitely a constant implied threat that if you disagree just leave quietly. Plus I do like weed, dogs, drinking beer at Texas Roadhouse in the mall, crispy bacon, smoking ribs, and dogs. They hate dogs.
And nothing against Muslims (it’s a Muslim country and I respect that), but I find the burkas and calls to prayer to be creepy. But I get that this is part of the culture. I’m not trying to change it. I enjoy visiting. It works for alot of people. I just like my women in bikinis.

Hear me out… a Judeo Christian Dubai would cook. Add bacon. Allow beer in the malls. Ban smoking indoors. Be a bit more tolerant towards weed. Locate it in a proper time zone. Everything else is pretty much perfect about the place.
