Vitalik: "The solution to the Cloudflare outage is the development of the DApp ecosystem."

Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum (ETH), said through X that the dApp ecosystem must develop to respond to centralized infrastructure failures such as the recent Cloudflare outage. The Cloudflare outage that occurred last November paralyzed about 20% of websites worldwide. He explained, "To prevent a Cloudflare incident, dApps that are not influenced by external pressure must become established as the infrastructure of society as a whole. The decentralized ideology of the cryptocurrency industry has recently been undermined in the name of convenience, but the industry must secure technological independence again. The ETH network may also discuss introducing related futures products to increase the predictability of gas fees."
