I grew up being told:
- Let a wound scab, don't touch the scab
- Put hydrogen peroxide on fresh wounds
- Put Neosporin on cleaned wounds
- Wounds need air
- Sutures need to be dry
- Ice a wound
- The pain means it's working
- Redness = infection
